Animal Healing

Just the same as humans, animals have life energy circulating through them and surrounding them. While this life energy is plentiful and free flowing around the body, animals feel a sense of well being and are less vulnerable to injuries and illness.

However when energy becomes low or its flow around the body becomes restricted or blocked, then animals can become vulnerable to illness and injury. Imbalances in this energy may also explain behavioural problems in some animals.

Reiki is a complementary treatment that will assist or promote healing within in animals, just as well as in humans, (sometimes even better). It has been shown to be of benefit to all types of aliments from simple conditions, through muscle and skeletal problems, right through to serious medical complaints such as cancer.

Reiki is not a replacement for mainstream licensed medicines and does not replace the need for professional veterinary treatment and advice from a licensed veterinary surgeon. Reiki will work in harmony with any medical treatment your pet is receiving and you should not stop this treatment without consulting your vet first.

Some of the aliments we have assisted in treating, or offered pain management in recent months include, Stress, Ligament Damage, Agressive Behaviour, Nervous Behaviour, Post Operation Recovery, Skin Conditions.

Reiki is also excellent for when you just know you pet isn't quite right, but your vet can't find anything wrong.

Dependant on animal being treated, your practitioner will choose to work on your pet directly with a hands on approach, or in some cases direct the healing energy from a distance.

As it is impossible to get most animals to remain still enough for the use of crystals, healing animals is normally conducted using Reiki Healing.

In some cases with small animals and birds, the practitioner may prefer for you to hold your pet and apply the Reiki Energy using your body as a channel. If this is the case, you will certainly receive some of the healing energy yourself, but dont worry there is plenty for the both of you.

With larger animals, it is likely that a practitioner will use a hands on approach, but if your pet is nervous or doesnt like being handled, then healing energy can be directed from a distance.

The duration of the treatment depends on the individual and on the individual treatment; your practitioner will know when they have achieved what they can for that session.

It is highly likely that your pet will be calm and relaxed for some time after your treatment, maybe even days after. This is all part of the healing and will assist with the healing that is taking place.
